Calendars are great for promoting your business; when made correctly they can serve as a daily reminder of your company. Below are some dos and don’ts of calendar printing that will help you to create a quality calendar that people want to use.

Do Make Your Calendar Look Attractive
The most important element of your calendar is it’s aesthetic appeal. If it looks great, people are a lot more likely to keep and use the calendar. If they use it, not only are they going to be reminded of your business every day, but the people they know who view the calendar could become your customers.

Don’t Make it Look Like a Newspaper Ad
If you make your calendar look like an advertisement, it will most likely not interest people. They will just throw it away and use someone else’s calendar.

Do Leave Space for People to Write
To encourage people to use your calendars, when you do your calendar printing leave blank space for writing. You can make the date squares large enough to write in, or you can leave room at the top and bottom or one side of each page.

Don’t Use Poor Quality Paper
If you use a poor quality paper, the calendar will not last all year. So stick to a higher quality paper. Not only will your calendar last longer, it will also look better.

Do Order in Bulk
When you order in bulk, the price per calendar goes down a lot. Also, ordering in bulk ensures that you have enough calendars to give to all of your customers and prospective customers as well.

Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute
You need to start planning your calendar printing about a year before the actual year of your calendar. Otherwise you may not end up with a finished product until part way through the year. Not only will many people already have chosen their calendar for the year, you will have missed out on the opportunity to promote your business during those months.

Do Include Sales Events
On the calendar, print dates that you will be having sales events. You can also print coupons on the back for people to cut out, and then print reminders within the calendar of when to use each coupon.

Don’t Forget Your Contact Information
On every page of your calendar, you should put your logo and some form of contact information. If you forget this step, your calendar won’t be the promotional tool it was supposed to be.
